Has anyone take the TD AK20 cartridge system from an older touring bike and put in an 09? Fork length appears the same, Dan at TD hasn't done one,so I thought I might ask here first? john

according to harley , the mounting bosses have changed slightly ( new caliper style),and the front axle is 25mm not 1". The internal length has not changed and they said they have "beefed up" the front suspension. Still did not get an answer as to whether can do a straight swap out ( cautious answer as not dealing with harley product!). Dan however said if not exactly the same that a swap of cartridges to make it work should not be a problem and the replacement cartridges would be $ 75 each.  John ( I guess in December I may be the guinea pig for this!!)

Can't speak from any more than an educated guess, but my bet would be the cartridges would fit.  If HD "beefed up" their suspension, it's probably nothing more than a different spring and/or a slightly different emulator.  Traxxion would want to clean up the forks inside, of course.
