Clutch question
« on: April 20, 2010, 08:18:57 PM »

Put my non CVO back up bike on the dyno today after a mild build and the clutch started to give up at 5000 rpms but the numbers made it to 95 hp and 98tq  before it started slipping.Would like some help on how to fix this problem.Should I replace the just the disc and plates or upgrade to Screaming Eagle or Barnett complete assemblies?Would like to add Baker 6 speed later on and I'm completely in the dark on this clutch stuff.2006 SG 95-10.5 comp kit, Woods cams and drives and some head work.Any help would help. Thanks

May want to try this:

Easy install...  relatively inexpensive.  Many on the site use the VPC including myself...   :2vrolijk_21:

After doing the cams in the old Road Glide it produced numbers comparable to those reported above.  And the clutch began to slip just a little bit.  Not often and not a lot.  But it was there.  It annoyed me that the then still low mileage disks couldn't hold up to 100 ft pds of torque.  It really is pretty lame if you stop and think about it.

Having the same issues  10.5-1 and mild cam.  Clutch slips in third gear when i get on it. Most annoying....  Will be addressing this issue this week.
