Just curious. Did you get a D408 or another D407?

they call it a408 but is the exact same tire. same tread but pattern is backwards

Yes, that is the design of the 408. We got ours and I have about 8,000 miles with no sign of cupping. For whatever reason the reverse design seems to work.

I just changed the front 408 on my 09 SEUC to another 408.

I got   26000   miles out of that 408 and it still had another 1000 or 1500 left.

That's the most mileage ever from a front tire on any kind of bike for me.
