Clutch Packs?
« on: August 14, 2010, 08:23:00 AM »

Can any one suggest an improved clutch pack that will work on my 09/SERG.
I am going to be installing the SE compensator and thought as long as I have
things apart may as well put some good disks and plates in.
I see in the S/E catalog they offer a few options.

I just installed the SE Compensator on my 09SERG and while I was in there I did inspect my clutchs. With 11,500 miles they look like new. I ride two up almost 90% of the time.   Doc

Your probably right Doc, the clutch should be in good shape. I also ride 90% or more 2 up.
I was thinking may as well replace the clutch, since a I was going to up the HP a little with a cam replacement this fall.

I added a VPC awhile ago and never had a clutch slip and the clutch lever pull is reduced also even with the hydraulic clutch. The VPC may be a cheap way out when increasing the motor.  Doc
