Shifter noise
« on: October 08, 2010, 08:39:10 PM »

I have a 2010 CVO ultra and have never bin happy with the shifting noise it make when riding.  I replace the trans oil with Red Line Super Shock Proof and It helped a 100 percent until I put a couple of thousand miles on it again.  Some day it is actually quiet and smooth but not all day worth of riding.
I have had several Harley's this seems to be the loudest.   Up for suggestions. :(

i have also noticed a clunk or a clack when shifting gears dont no if this is what you are experiencing but i had noticed the more and more i rode the bike from new the worse it got then i discovered the clutch cable had stretched and i adjusted it to get as little free play on the lever as possible made a huge difference still a little claky though just helps the clutches disengage a little more with less drag on the oil between the plates may or may not help in you case just a suggestion to check
