New "Horn Cover"
« on: May 14, 2006, 01:51:25 PM »

I had removed my stock horn a while back and went with the stebel air horn installed behind a side cover.  More on that here: http://flhrsei.org/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?num=1138971376/0#0

Been looking for something to hang in the horn location but did not want to hang a horn there.  Well found something interesting.  Here is what I ended up with.

At least I can say I haven't seen another one like it.  :)

Nice. Looks like one of those Strip Club Choppers (??) parts. They recently did a segment on one of the "Two Wheel Tuesday" shows (American Thunder, Corbin's Rides???), can't remember which one. They had an entire bike outfitted w/there parts (including wheels).

Strip Club Choppers parts have the girl and the pole.  This is the good old traditional "mud flap girl".  This is actually a mirror.  Found a guy selling some different mirrors (mud flap girls, flames and things like that) on ebay and bought a right side mirror by itself and just mounted the mirror part onto the stock back plate used to mount the stock horn.

I think she's facing the wrong way....  and there might be something wrong with her ankle placement, but I'm not sure.  Either way, I like it.  a lot.

I thought about that but figured she could be looking at me or away from me so went with it.  Plus it was only auction I found for a single mirror only and the things as pairs were pretty pricey.

You are right, now that you mention "the pole" I remember. Either way that is a nice touch on your bike no matter which way she's facing. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Andy,
All you have to do is visit your local Hooters on your  [smiley=pumpkin.gif]. Explain to them you are from (Hooters) corporate headquarters and tell them you need to take a picture of them on your bike. If that doesn't work do like I did.... Make sure you have a big order from your table and tip accordingly. [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]
