Not a CVO but if Harley had added a grip and peg pkg. it certainly could be!

I had my eye one of these since last year, got a wild hair and called a kinda local dealer on the last day of last month and they agreed to my offer. I then loaded up my 2010 FXDWG and headed in.

This is a 2024 Breakout. I know, I'll be 68 later this year AND it's my secondary bike AND I'm retired and on a budget so WTF? Well, like I typed earlier....
I GOT A WILD HAIR!  LOL

I'll be changing the exhaust to a Bassani 2 into 1 set up and using Harley's Screamin Eagle tuner on this 117 cu.in. M8. It already came with a Heavy Breather so performance wise I think this lightweight little Softail should be a lot of fun with just a Stage 1 upgrade!!

Hmmm? I will certainly inquire about that tomorrow. I,ve heard it could be a heat sensor or a throttle /body sensor also. Thanks.

Thanks guys. I know how to turn it off and the dealer and bike shop confirmed that its off but it still drops down to one cylinder when you stop for longer that 30 seconds and it wont come back when its supposed to (release the clutch or start moving). Everyone is stumped  by this including the dealer.

I think there is a “switch” in the  ECU that they can look at and turn on/off with their HD scanner.

i've seen it once. The brass bushing for the crank ended up warped after the oil pump was'nt centered right. The suck part was, the bushing is not replaceable, the plate is junk. That failure was due to a bad install but ive never seen one fail other than that.

I believe that at idle rotate the throttle past stop , forward, and the cruise light will change color, red = off / deactivated and green = on / activated

Suggestion:  Go to your user manual and look up the correct process to enable/disable parade mode to be sure you are doing it correctly.

If it still doesn’t work, a service advisor at the dealership can help or get someone who can.

Regards

I cannot speak highly enough of S&S premium lifters for twin cams. If you replace the lifters (I would), consider these.

Thanks

Hi,
I am currently looking at a used 2014 CVO Limited in great shape with 23,800 miles on it.  I rode the bike and it rides great.  I believe it is a good deal at $16 K.  After my research I am super paranoid now about this lifter issue.  Should I be OK to buy if I take it straight to have the lifters changed?   Just dont want to get stuck with a pig in a poke.  I have been waiting for a few years to buy a nice CVO Limited that won’t put me in the poor house, but the lifter issue has me spooked now.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

They told me its been deleted and I have no codes but that seems like whats happening but, the fact that it stays on after the clutch is released and while trying to accelerate   ( up to 2nd or 3rd gear sometimes ) before both cylinders engage has everyone confused. I have almost 20k into this motor now between parts, labor and dyno time only to burp and sputter off the line while everyone else jets off on the green light. Like I said, it only happens at long lights. Stop and go, no issues??
