Title: "Hello" from New Member, Admiral's Wife aka: Screaming Eagle
Post by: Miss Kitty on January 06, 2009, 12:34:48 PM
Hi everybody! I'm Miss Kitty, the Admiral's wife. I just joined the site today and I'm looking forward to chatting with all of you and meeting all of you that are coming to Eureka Springs in May.

I would love to take any prayer requests that you may have for yourself and your family and friends. I have a "Prayer Request" email that I send out daily to my "Friends List" and I would be more than happy to take any requests that you may have for yourself or those of your loved ones. I look forward to this with great enthusiasm.
This is my passion in life to care about the needs and happiness and fulfillment in life for others.

Another passion that my husband and I also share is riding our CVO around the country and meeting new friends.

Welcome from Central Illinois.

If you remember add my daughter Kari to your prayer list. She's dealing with wounds from Baghdad. The power of prayer can not be over-estimated. See you in ES!

Miss Kitty, :welcome_005: from Tennessee!

Thank you, Rick, from Tennessee! Admiral and I have a friend who lives in Memphis. We went through there 3 years ago, and it was absolutely beautiful country. I had never been to Tennessee so it was very exciting for me to see such marvelous beauty. I told Admiral I want to move there someday. The countryside is absolutely breathtaking! I can't wait to go back. We'll let you know when we head that way and maybe we can all meet up for lunch and a nice ride. Take care and God bless.

            Dave

My husband Admiral gave it to me. He says I'm his "little pussycat". Which means I'm a goood kitty! Of course he also calls me his"little pretzel girl" and "screamin eagle". Nothing sexual I assure you. I'm glad to be welcomed on to the CVO site. Everyone is really very nice. I will be trying to keep up with my husband's reputation on posts per day.
It shouldn't be a problem for me because I have what they refer to as the gift of gab, and I'm aslso trying to get some practice on my typing skills. I love "Gunsmoke" also. My favorite is "Festus". He's a hoot! I look forward to talking with you again soon. God bless.

Some of my best pictures are taken from the back of the bike! I have nothing to do but sit back and capture God's awesome creation on camera. That's a pretty fulfilling job to have. We have been to the Teton's, the Smoky Mountains and the Rocky Mountains, as well as many other fabulous places. I have seen some of the most beautiful sunsets and sunrises while on the back of the CVO. I'll try and remember to bring them with me in May to Eureka Springs, to share them with all of you.  I'm very honored and grateful to be able to take prayer requests from my new found friends on the CVO site. Welcome from Lower Alabama Miss Kitty  :2vrolijk_21:

I'm not a real religious man, so I will ask you to do this for me. I have a friend in NYC whose mother is 94 years old and in bad health. She has lived a long life and my friend spends EVEARY day at her bedside feeding her and taking care of her while at the same time caring for his family. He's a good man who is trying very hard to deal with all of this. He has served his country with pride and honor and is just as nice a guy as you would ever want to meet.

Please pray for his Mother and him and his family...Thank You for your prayer services...elvislee

It will be my pleasure to pray for your friend. Consider it done. Thank you for asking me to do this for your friend.
Please let me know about any other requests you might have in the future and how your friend and his mother are doing. He sounds like a very dedicated "family man." That is something you don't see that often in today's world. Everybody is looking out for themselves and they don't seem to want to be bothered with the elderly. They think it is much easier to put them in a nursing home. So, my hats off to your friend. He has a wonderful heart and is very dedicated to his entire family. You are a wonderful friend to him by having him lifted up in prayer. In my opinion, you're a pretty terrific person yourself, with a loving heart! Thanks again for asking me to do this for your friend. Take care and God bless.

Welcome from Southern New Jersey Miss Kitty.  I now know who has been behind some of the past Miss Kitty posts.  It's nice to know Admiral and Hoist are getting competition for top dog.  You gotta watch Firedood too.  He seems to be online alot.

Your offer of prayers is wonderful.  Few will ever ask for anything themselves.  To see our members ask for thier friends is quite touching.  I get chocked up when I see the compassion of others.  There seems to be so little of that anymore.

I ask that you pray for this great brotherhood on two wheels.  If there is ever a group of men and women who willingly give of themselves and are more generous or thoughtful than bikers, I have yet to meet them.
Bikers are free from always being "Politicly Correct"  We have and are the target of so many issues.  We just have to be honest.

God Bless the men and women who every day place thier lives before ours as a shield to our freedom and way of life.
God bless Harley Davidson for creating the vehicle which brings us all together.

I pray for the opportunity to read the posts of you and many others for many years.  I also ask that you send a special Prayer to Howie.

                                                  Thank and God Bless you

Thank you for the warm welcome Randy. You know I think we the "new generation of biker's" are starting to change the way that society used to view biker's in the past. They seem to have a little more respect for us these days. Now if we can just get them in the habit of looking twice for us on the road before they turn into another lane and such, I think we will be ok. Don't you agree? Maybe if they could ride a bike or just be on the back of the bike for one day, I'm sure it would definitely change their outlook on the situation. I've noticed that there are a lot of commercials on the television about looking for bikers on the road and being more observant and aware of our presence. That is a good thing in our favor. Still, you're always going to have that minority that don't care. They think the road belongs to them and all they seem to care about is whether or not they get to their destination on time. I will add Howie to my prayer list and thank you for allowing me that privilege and honor. Let me know about any other prayer needs you might have in the future, please.Thank you and God bless you and all the biker's of the world.

                                                  Thank and God Bless you
                                                   Randy Rose

HeHe!!! I ain't in no competition Randy! Just a BLABBERMOUTH is all!!! Ain't nobody catching King 2LR anyway!!! ;D ;D ;D ;) :2vrolijk_21:

Hi Soozie! I hope you don't mind that I put the father of your two daughters on my prayer list that goes out to my other prayer partners. I was reading the "Rider's Down" and I noticed your post about his accident. Please let me know if you or your daughters and their father have anymore prayer requests. Are you going to be at Eureka Springs in May? I hope you are, it would be a pleasure to meet you. Take care and God bless.

Thank you and I'm glad to be here. It's exciting to meet so many new people from all over. I don't think Marshall Dillion and Miss Kitty actually dated either. I think they were just friends like Doc and Festus. They had a click or something like that. And of course Miss Kitty worked in a bar so that's where all the bad guy's liked to hang out when they came in to town from the prairie, and the Marshall liked to stop in for a drink after a hard day at the office.Hope this helped to answer your questions. Take care and God bless.

Welcome aboard Mrs Kitty,

From Houston and the Clear Lake area!!!

I grew up in the Smokey's (bout 20 miles from the Trail of the Dragon) but moved here a long time ago.  First to the Sugar Land area and now in the "Fema" I mean the Kemah area..  :>) just kidding!!

I have had the pleasure of talking on line with Marshall Dillon (pun intended) make that Admiral.  Seems like a great guy. You guys are blessed I am sure!!

There are four of us down here in Clear Lake that have CVO'S and we have been talking about Eureka Springs this May, no firm plans as of yet, but hopefully we will be there.

Your prayers and for that matter ANY prayers are always WELCOME on MY behalf.... And God bless you for for all your help toward others.  Let me know if I can help with your prayer warriors.

If you guys are up for it, next time we plan a ride, I will include you all in an email list, just let me know?

West of the Brazos is always a good little place,,,, do you all ever ride there?

Bless you guys..

Thank You sooo much! I'm very delighted to be here on the site with all of you. Anytime you and Suz want to help me out with prayers, just jump right on in there. I'm ecstatic about the response I have gotten from everyone so far. It has been absolutely a tremendously huge response. By the way, our motorcycle chapter the "Tri-County San Jacinto HighRoller's" has there meetings at "West of the Brazo's", so we know the place well. We had our wedding there in October at our chapter's and the Pasadena chapter's run. It was awesome. The only sad part was that our dear friend Sandra could not be there. She was killed in a motorcycle accident there on Hwy.36. She and her husband Curtis are the owners of "West of the Brazo's." If you and Suz aren't doing anything Sunday Jan.11th, why don't ya'll come out and join us. We would love to have you. Just be there at high noon. Let us know if you can make it. We've invited a few more people from the site to come out, so we hope that ya'll can make it out as well. We just love meeting other people who share our passion for riding. We look forward to meeting you and Suz. God Bless.

I don't want to be disrespectful, but what's with this "prayer warrior" thing? We all hope and pray all the time when we wish the best for someone that needs a lil more help. Maybe divine, maybe not. But is this some kinda "official" religious thing or something? I'm not Christian, and not religious whatsoever, and I know most don't share my personal religious values. So this is kinda foreign to me. It kinda freaks me out a lil too. Like I said, I hope I didn't offend anyone here. But I'm a lil confused by this sudden barrage of prayers for EVERYTHING. To me, it's kinda like the politics thing on a motorcyle website. That JMO! (and I'll prolly burn in hell for it! ::) ) Thanks. :nixweiss:

Howie, can readily understand the overtness being uncomfortable for some if not many.  Some may not wish to feel so highlighted in public threads or commentary.  Since it is the thought that counts and not the place perhaps PMs to the person of interest would be a better method of delivery.

No offense taken, Hoist. It's just something that I wanted to put out there for anyone who wanted
something or someone to be prayed for. I can assure you that it's not something I want to force upon anyone and God certainly doesn't want to be forced on someone. I'm not trying to start any kind of religious cult or anything,
I just want people to know that I simply care about them and their needs. This is something I wanted to do. But, I do not wish to ever offend anyone or make them feel uncomfortable around me. Trust me, I'm just as human as anybody else here and I have my faults too, and plenty of them. Please except my sincere apologies if I have made you or anyone on this site uncomfortable with my opinions. God bless.

Thank you for that heartfelt explanation Miss Kitty. I had a promblem even wanting to say something, but eventually thought I should, since I felt that way. But like I said, it was difficult because I didn't want it to be taken in the wrong way. I appreciate your sincerity and your willingness to help others who ask. I was, like I said confused, as it started appearing as some kinda organized thing, and I never heard of prayer warriors before. And I was concerned that some organized religious front was moving in on our Motorcycle Forum. Maybe PM's like Don said, might benefit those looking for this more than the general public seeing all of them. But it's not my site, and not my call. It's JMPO. I believe in God, but don't believe in organized religion at all. So my beliefs usually cut against the grain of normal society! But hey, I ain't normal anyway! ;D ;D ;D

Another big welcome Miss Kitty from southern Florida!

Thank you and I'm delighted to be here. I look forward to learning more about motorcyle's and their operations from everybody. I can never learn too much. I can't wait to share our travel's and experiences with ya'll. We've been to some great events and seen some of the most beautiful countryside. Since I ride on back I get to take lots of pictures. Admiral's mother lives just off the Key's on a little island called "No Name Key." Ever heard of it? There is no electricity on the whole island. It's all powered by solar batterie's. When we went there for a visit, I tried to use my blowdryer and just darn near drained all the power out of the house. Needless to say, I had a "bad hair day." Are you going to be in Eureka Springs? We hope to see you and everybody there. Take care and God Bless.

Hey, that's ok. I'm not normal either. No offense to anyone, but I'm a blonde! Thank you for your very nicely put opinion. I appreciate when someone is up front and honest with me. Not to change the subject but,has Admiral told you about some of our bike adventure's? I have really seen and been to a lot of cool places. Our ride to Daytona was my first and then we went to Sturgis twice. I liked "Louie's Bar and Eatery." I also got to see the "Teton's." It was awesome. I've never had so much fun in my life as I have travelling on a Harley. It was my idea to trade in our 2006 for the 2009 UCSE. I was kind of disappointed when we didn't get it right away, but I was glad when we finally did.
The best part is that it has "His & Her" seatwarmers. So if the Admiral turns his off, I can keep mine on. I like to set mine on high.I really enjoy doing the bike run's with our club. We get to do a lot of nice things for our community and help out the kids. Well, I've yammered your ear off enough for now. Nice talking to you. God Bless.

Like some on this site; I am not a CHURCH going man but have my beliefs like the next person (Not gonna plain them here either) but I do feel this ONE thread (IMHO) is not and should not be a threat to anyone and I surly don't see any conspiracy by anyone to inject anyone's beliefs upon someone else. Like 2LnR said, "It's the thought that counts". It's like watching TV, if ya don't like the show; then change the channel. One thing is for sure, some may believe a little prayer may not help; but, it sure can't hurt either. So, kick back and watch TV (the channel's you like). If it was one or two threads, I would have never said anything Blaine. But it was in over twenty threads and over fifty posts. The very first day too! And ya know I could obviously care less how much someone posts. I was trying extremely hard not to be offensive at all when I gave my opinion, as I am now. But ya know I speak my mind. Same here. I can't wait to meet up with everyone. I know it is going to be awesome. I've been reading on some of the planned rides and activities they have all set up for us. My husband and I are bringing a few of our friends from our club chapter. We will be staying at our timeshare condo. We're riding up Friday and we're stopping over in Oklahoma for the night, then we're heading out Saturday morning and should be in Eureka Springs that afternoon.
We look forward to meeting with you and your wife. Take care and God Bless.

Thank you for the compliment. Not that I don't welcome the compliments but if this keeps up,
I'm going to get a big head and a bigger ego! We're going to be in Eureka Springs in May. Hope to see you there.
God bless.
