Dual bulb headlight

Saw pics showing the headlight better. Appears that there is a separate smaller round light within the main large light. Maybe a specific pencil beam for high? Also, anyone modify the lights so the spots are on with both Hi and Lo beams?

Anybody out there with this headlight? Let me know what you think. I have adjusted mine to where it should be on low beam and it lights up the road pretty darn good. The high beam leaves a lot. Seems to spread the light out too far. It may just be mine, any other takes out there?

I've rewired mine so the spots stay on whether high or low beam, the spots make a big difference. I had to adjust my headlight all the way up just to make it useable, then take it apart and cut the top spring so I could take it up a bit farther, it is much better now and I don't have cars flashing at me (not that they did before, just to say I'm not too high). I'm looking for higher wattage bulbs, the low beam is an 55W and the high is 35W, haven't had any luck finding the strange bulb types though, H8 for high and H11 for low (if I remember right). I've found that an H9 will fit in the low beam spot and they can be found on the internet with a higher wattage, I wanna look local til I find what I'm looking for though. This light leaves alot to be desired, but I'll make it work one way or another.

I did the dual bulb headlight on the red bike several months ago. I liked the looks of it better and a couple of guys had commented favorably on differences in lighting. Had to adjust it a couple of times to find the sweet spot. Where I first thought was "best" turned out not to be. The high beam throws light out farther while the low beam throws it wider. Definitely an improvement. Not a hugely dramatic improvement, but an improvement nonetheless.
