I have finally found my chirp.
I notice a few months ago that every once in awhile while idling I would hear a chirping sound for the left side of the bike.
I was able to isolate it to the left exhaust pipe but have been unable to silence it.
Today while taking the exhaust system off the bike I found that the crossover bracket was broken and I am sure that this is where it was coming from.
I've missed this a couple of times. I would have had to get under the bike with a flash light and focus specifically on the attach points.

This is the bracket on the left

Wow
As strong and thick as that support looks I would have never thought it would fail. Maybe you need to cut back to 1 bump off the limiter per shift?
PS
Is your belt loose?

I have signed up for the "Evelyn Woodhead Speed Shifting" course for Motorcycles.....BAM!
Is my belt loose? That is a pic that I pirated to show as an illustration. My guess is that Steve took this pic while the back tire was off.

Thanks....I told Gary to get right on it.

The big question is why are you removing your exhaust?

Haven't you heard, all the cool kids are putting Kury 24D cams in their awesome machines. You better get with it you want to keep up....or I guess you could just ride with that Hubbard dude.

Silly boy.....your bike will run better if you buy and install 2 of them.....although....perhaps you might be on to something. :confused5:

Hasooo Grasshopper on the pirated photo..
PS
Keith's picture also has an weird anomaly near his seat....perhaps he passed wind as he struck the bird....
Kuryakyn stock went up after Cat started ordering cams...
Looks like you hit the crank lottery too....or you have found the true secret about 110 cranks. You need try to spin them into orbit every shift to true em up good. What did they say at the Evelyn Woodhead Speed Shifting School?

It is a skill that cannot be taught. Although, pondering beyond the depths of Zen, has in some, brought small amounts of clarity of the Borg Cybernetic Organism of Man and Motorcycle which is the first step in understanding the true power of the Rev-Limiter.
But this doesn't work if the crank has been cryogenically treated in the Chamberrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Lol
I saw the infamous bucket this year....ah memories...that was a fun day

When you re-tune the bike after putting in the 24d's just raise the RPM limit a little bit more OK a lot more to allow your CRS (Cant Remember Shifting) to be a non issue
