Title: New 2020 Roadmaster Elite
Post by: ultrarider123 on February 04, 2020, 03:07:52 PM
It is in the news, just not Harley news.  Although I'm guessing the MoCo did get the memo... :bananarock:

2020 Indian Roadmaster just released (received the email 30 minutes ago).  Nice looking color combo.  I'm just not a fan of those Kawasaki lowers.
Still less expensive than a CVO and more stuff on it, too... :2vrolijk_21:

They moved the rear speakers from the trunk to the saddlebag lids like they have in the past Elite models (that's a 600 watt stereo).  The trunk comes from the factory with quick release...so when you want the trunk removed, you still have your speakers.  Factory 116, too.

Forgot to add the fact that all that 30 hours of painting was in house, not farmed out...

Harley, are you paying ANY attention?

Nice color combination, don't know why but I'm not a fan of the faring on these, but it could grow on a guy I guess.
Do you think they really filled the trunk and saddle bags with water to know how many gallons of capacity they hold?

That front fairing. :puke: Same for the lowers.  Sort of a cross of a bike, a $39k RoadwingUltraGoldMaster.

I'd have no problem whatsoever being seen riding that.

Even with all the flaws we point out with our Harleys, they are still a better looking bike than the competition. IMHO.

I sort of like it, colors are good, paint looks great.  Biggest thing I do not like is the huge chrome trim around the headlight, loose it and then loose the chrome fender tip, but keep the Indian head.

Would love for Indian to do something like this with the Challenger.

IMHO - Fugly!   At least they are not afraid to spend a little money on some chrome.    Not a fan of this new Black Out craze on bikes.    Cars = Yes.  Bikes = Not so much.

The chrome surround does look out of place on some of the colors.  Looks OK on this one but I'd swap to the color matched one like on my '18.  I'm with you on the losing the chrome fender tips...not a fan no matter what the bike/brand.  I'd also remove the passenger armrest extensions...not a fan just for looks.  I'm sure they are good, practical wise.

Scuttlebutt was the next Elite was going to be the Challenger but guess that was from the pool boy's lesser known cousin, porta-pot Johnny.

Lose the fender tip and the fairing chrome He Man sword looking thing (or color match it) & the bike would look lots better.
