Speakers COMPLETED!
« on: September 01, 2008, 03:00:49 PM »

Best bang for your buck speaker set up for SERG's.  I know of hog tunes, J and M, and Hawg wired.  Looking for something louder for just the two up front.  Not opposed to amps and such.  I'm not confident enough to do it myself without screwing it all up and taking it to the dealership afterwards.

If you've already go the Hawg Wired it's time to add the amp.

The Hawg-wired DCS plug and play amp is impossible to screw up. All you need to do is un-plug and plug in the cables. Removing the fairing is the hardest part......

There is NO ONE that will help you more or give better advice than Jim.
Buy the stuff and pull the fairing off and he will walk you through it!
Come up here one weekend and I will help you.
If I can do it even dOOd could.
It's that easy.

Chip,
They'll be here today.  After installing the Tour Pack and spoiler on the SERG, I'm a tad more confident in my mechanical abilities.  It's seams easy enough.  i went on their website, Hawg Wired and downloaded the instructions.  With it just being the plug in play amp, I don't have to do any cutting or splicing.  However, I did upgrade and get the component speakers, only two cuts and splices.  They'll be at the house today and I will install tomorrow.  It's on the Honey-do list, she just doesn't know it! :2vrolijk_21:  I can't wait to hear them! :guitarist:

Jim is a great guy that is willing to help as much as possible.  I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for speaker upgrades, and Jim, I'll be giving you a call on some lights for the SERG, do they have orange?

Jim, I imagine the installation on that is a little bit tougher,  :nixweiss:

Easy getting off everything, installation was cake, putting the fairing on, well thats another story!  It wasn't easy.  But I'm very please with the results.  I too, like a little bit more bass, but I'm cool with the results.  Here are the pics.

Safety First!  Cover that fender!
