       The general manager is a guy named Dave. Back when San Diego H-D was a decent dealership, Dave was the GM. Give him a call and tell him B B from San Diego told you he was a straight shooter. If that doesn't do it Me, Beags,Susie and Bubba_T are going right by there next Sunday (5/4)

Yea I thought of B B at first but looked like a little hike for him to go there, so I was shocked when he said he would be in the area next week.

       It's a bit of a tale, kinda long for the post on a thread format. Dave's not the long post type in case you hadn't noticed. He'll tell the tale at MV in September I'm sure. For the moment, all's well that end's well.

Try to make a long story short. The rear wheel they sent Dave was mis-boxed and was a front. A little attitude from the dealer and refusal to send out the correct part (they did refund cost and shipping). I went out there today and the other wheel in stock was also a front in a rear part number box. I was going to buy it for Dave and ship it and eliminate the dealer but like I said, it was the wrong part again.  Dave

For your part Dave the story is over, but for me the story's just begun. Two people I've posted on this site that members could do business with treated you like chit. They can do whatever they choose with their own reputations, but they're not gonna mess with mine and get off free.

Wrong parts in a box, what a pizzer, sorry you had the problem with the dealer.  Happens in the car biz too. 

What a wanker.  If they'd checked the other one and know the wheel guys boxed them wrong it would have been clear what was up and Wrongway would have saved all those bugs.  Not that any excuse to ride isn't a good one.

Sounds like B B may not be spending much time there on his way through (but maybe jsut a little).

How long does it take to splain your point of view B B?  Just kidding, but dropping in to explain it would hold a lot more weight than just calling and jawin' with them IMHO.

Dave.... No the frt wheel they sent me was not boxed wrong. It was just "ALL" wrong.......... wrong part #, was a frt, not a rear, invoiced wrong. I quess the other wheel they had was the one that was boxed wrong, or someone switched out the wheels, I presume. I asked for it to be physically inspected to make sure of correct part, but the system failed and it caused alot grief, time for nothing. When a part is obsolete, or pending obsolete, one must be careful, because Chit happens and it did.
All in all they refunded my money and told me to keep the "wrong wheel". Imagine that.
I'm now stuck with a 21" frt to match the one I never got plus the "wrong wheel".
I had recently purchased 2 wheels from Harley Team, so you can imagine its start to look like a wheel farm around here.
Its not the way its suppose to work but it happened. I got with Chicago HD today and ....... yep you guessed it , ordered another wheel. Not the one that matches the frt but a blk solid wheel that will work & hopefully look ok, that is if everything goes ok on this order.
These wheels are for a 94 FXSTS that my dad left to me almost 2 years ago. I wanted the bike to be complete by his 2 year anniv. of his passing but I'm running out of time and paitence. It should be at a stage where I can ride it in his remembrance memorial day weekend if all works out.

While at this not so liked Dealer I noticed a 2006 Crimson on the floor, had 48,000, original BAD paint and they were asking $29,000! I'll bet it sits there for awhile at that price. This is not an ad for a 3rd party sale as I wouldn't send an enemy to this place.
 Dave sorry I didn't get the facts strait, just too many things going on. Good luck finishing Dad's bike, make him proud!  Dave
