What your thinking of is the link between "Canjun" and "Acadian" I think.  Cajuns are descendants of the seventeenth-century French colonists who settled in Acadia - what is now the Eastern part of Canada (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island).  The term Canuck can be used for all Canadians...more useful information on a Sunday afternoon. :2vrolijk_21:
