       When it's time to sleep, consume an entire large size bottle of Nyquil and sweet dreams.
       When awake, eat copious quantities of turkey gumbo loaded with cayenne pepper and lots of coffee with Jameson's and Bailey's in it.

How do you know what brake fluid tastes like?   Try sitting in a nice hot tub of water with a glass of Grand Marnier thats been nuked in the micro for ten seconds or so. Tastes much better than brake fluid. THE MUFFMAN

Actually....  Heading to the hot tub soon.  More steam. 

And not only can I recognize the taste of break fluid.  I can tell DOT5 from other other stuff . 

Sometimes the only way to know for sure what's leaking is to lick your fingers .

A shot of whiskey (or vodka) left in the freezer for about thirty minutes prior to consuming is a good option, Don. Multiple shots are even better.  That Jaegermeister Miker suggested also works ok.

Doesn't do chit for your maladies but you will be too drunk to care & sleep beats falling down coughing in a world with pizza & beer that taste like brake fluid.

Sorry to hear you too are sick, just got back from the doctor and he said I joined the bronchitis club, although he was kind enough give me some cough syrup and some strong antibiotics

Cranky & Whiney.... that really sucks.  I had that bronchial and sinus crap a month or so back.  Coughed up stuff that looked like it could crawl away.

Thanks to everyone.  Especially for all the very good suggestions.  Since I trust everyone I think the obvious solution is to just use them all; together .  Except for maybe the brake fluid vaccine.  Believe me, stopping right now is not a problem. 

Harry, I'm a few days now in to the uber antibiotics.  Actually try to avoid antibiotics when it's likely viral but figured what the hell.  Knock down anything opportunistic and let the immune system have a full shot at whatever's left.  Along with the other suggestions above it's got to be good in combination!

Sorry to read that others have had similar crap.  Hope you all got as wasted medicated as I did last night.  Sleeping til 11:00 AM has to be good for something .

I can do the Nyquil pills.  But the liquid Nyquil is a problem.  Often for some reason it makes me hurl.  Immediately.  Convulsively.  Great at parties you want to escape from.  Not great when you're already not feeling well.

For the first entire week of this bout that WAS NOT a problem here.  And thank the saints for the invention of the plastic trash can next to the toilet.  Multi-tasking is so annoying.  If the green goop would have helped that I'd have paid big bucks!

That store just around the corner at Range Line and Zora?  I haven't even been in it yet and it's less than a mile from the house.

The meds must be helping as I started to get some voice back today.  I can actually talk to people this evening (poor bastards) .  By tomorrow might be close to normal.  So be sure and let me know when you're close.  If you're up early let's meet for lunch.  That little mom and pop Mexican place next door to the liquor store is pretty good.

About 5 shots of crown royal, get in bed with multiple blankets and an electric blanket, cook on high overnight, when the big fever breaks and the sweat pours out remove from heat and all will be well in a day or so.  Works for me anyway, and fortunately I don't get sick very often.  It makes me mad as hell too.

  Just reminded me of a weekend back in the 70's.  Went to my girlfriends house (now wife).  I was pretty sick - couldn't breath and felt like hammered dog crap.  She decided to medicate me.  She gave me Nyquil and about 3 or 4 similar medications... all at the same time... and I took them.

I slept about 20 hours.  She actually said that she had to check several times to see if I was still breathing.  She said she couldn't wake me and I didn't even move.  No joke, I slept 20 hours..... felt great when I woke up.

She decided that it wouldn't be a good idea to mix so much in the future

Oh that chit is evil.  I drank half a bottle once and accused my mother of sleeping with my best friend (she wasn't).  In front of the two of them. The I stood on my pool table and played gold with my $300 pool cue.  Then layed down in the snow until I almost froze to death.  Shot gun smoke from friend's cigarette and that got a little too close for comfort, since we're both straight.  I think personally, I'd drink the brake fluid.  At least the DOT 4... DOT 5 leaves an after taste.

I've quit Drugs 25 years, Smoking 5 years and Jeagger 20 years. That's it. So I consider one of the three most evil things on earth.
