Not wasting any time for sure!

I just worry about supply chain issues.  Got a whole lot of stuff ordered yesterday.

That's a big reason I decided not to touch my mako. Bone stock as for the motor and I don't even care.  Really sorry to hear dave.   What else can I say    I hope it gets fixed soon.  Stuart.

Doubt this is a failure because of the motor being built.  It's a low lift cam, 482 lift so I could stay with lower pressure springs. 

The roller on the lifter just seized.  Unfortunately it made no noise.  Metal on metal friction and it finally wore down and broke.

I had lifter failure on my stock 09 CVORG and on my 15 CVORGU.  The 15 was with 44K miles the day before the warranty expired. 

Holy $hit Dave, so sorry to hear about this. Wow, whose lifters were those? Keep us in the loop on your progress.

Those were Woods Alpha lifters.  I have used them with great luck, until now.

I installed large Diameter Saddle Bag Guards from Bad Boyz Cyclez.
Same diameter as the Chopped engine Guard. Looks good.

Yep I do have esp just week I inherited a nail in back tire so I'm having a hell of a time.

Rode Betsy to a Cornhole match at my sister’s church. Placed 3rd. Then rode Orange Crush down to visit the dragon store later that evening. I hadn’t washed the Ohio road dust off OC so I gave her a good bath yesterday and a wax job.

New lifters and a new front tire on the agenda later, maybe next week, but prior to MV for sure.

I replaced my rear tire and ordered a new set of lifters a couple of weeks ago. A few days later after about 200 miles I picked up a bolt, yes a bolt, in that brand new tire! I got it patched right away and all was good. A few days later I picked up a nail in the same tire! WTF!!! So I am now on my second new rear tire in as many weeks. Ouch
I had the new lifters installed yesterday and so far so good.
Going for a couple hundred mile ride here in a few minutes and hoping that it is uneventful other than what Mother Nature has to offer over on Whidbey Island.

Was on the road at the crack of dawn this morning, riding on the road as the sun comes up is one of my favorite pleasures, something magical to me. This was a shakedown ride from having my bike on the lift for her yearly comprehensive physical among other things that needed addressed. I found a bolt missing from crossover pipe support on back of oil pan, I have noticed the left exhaust pipe vibrating at idle doing a walk around, I added a small spring in the compensator, I spooned it in rather than opposing to add some tension. I did this because I noticed lots of travel witness marks on the ramps and mating surface. Picture is from the good side as I screwed up right side muffler, dumbass move, I have another pair in route to me from the same type of bike. More to come on the work I did.

Got my last two (for now) add ons done on the new bike. Janet's cup holder and paint protection film on the saddlebag lids (or as Janet calls them "her steps" 🙄.) All I have to do now is get some more miles on it before Maggie.

To follow up on this post - after a couple days I noticed the paint film was coming loose. I did a little research and found out that it won't stick if to ceramic coated surfaces. I did have the bike ceramic coated before putting the film on so apparently that won't work. I guess we'll just have to be careful when getting on and off the bike so we don't damage the bag lids.
