does putting a SCREAMIN' EAGLE PRO STREET TUNER on your bike really increase power or is it just a waste of money ?

It is not the tuner that increases power but the tune itself along with whatever modifications you make. On my 2015, the TTS Tuner along with a modified exhaust rendered noticeable power increase but more importantly, much better throttle response. Hope this helps.

A tuner is used to adjust fuel and air mixture and timing to work with parts you have add like a free flowing exhaust and high flow intake.  When adjusting the mixture and time to optimal for the new parts, power will be increased.

Tuners are also used to adjust for different Cam's or bore size and much more.

The Screamin Eagle tuner is limited in what it can do, because it is an EPA compliant tuner.  If using Harley parts it works fine.  You chose after market Cams and compression ratios you need a more capable tuner like a TTS Master Tune or Power Vision.

All depends on what you want to do.
