You must have some tough feet to wear those boots. I have a pair and although they help get my heels to the ground better I cant stand to wear them very long.

LOL...who knows how tough my feet are but I love these boots. Just started wearing my new pair to break them in.

I've found Harley boots need breaking in. I bought a pair of Harley "Condor" in 2008, they bothered me for a week then very comfortable. I wear them 90% of the time, wear like iron and by the time they wear out should be near 10 years old. Wish they still made them.

You are correct about needing to half it. I also made a mistake with my facts. The Dunlop 16 inch wheel has a tire diameter 25.33 inches. The 18 inch wheel has a diameter of 26.18 inches. So I was right that it is a little less than an inch but I did have the numbers reversed. Additionally, if you put the 17 inch wheel on the front, to match the rear wheel, that diameter tire is 25.20 versus the 19 inch wheel that's on the 2011 CVO is 25.39 inches, so you also gain a little bit more there.

the difference between the 18'' tire and the 16'' tire on the rear is .75'' overall.  half that and you get about 3/8''.  barely noticeable.

on the front tires, all the stock tires from 16'', 17'', 18'' and 19'' are all virtually identical, the 19'' tire is actually the tallest of the bunch with a total height increase of .12'' over the stock 16''.

You could try this 1" lowering kit for CVO'S. I haven't but am considering it.

Not sure where you are getting you numbers. I'm getting my BW numbers for the 2011 CVO SG from the Dunlop web site.

You gain .85 inches in the rear (16 vs. 18 inch wheel) and you gain .19 inches in the front (17 vs. 19 inch wheel). Combined, that's over a half inch shorter to the ground. I know a half inch isn't a lot but us men know that every inch and every fraction of an inch counts.

I sent my boots to Sole America and had Lifts installed. The add a layer of material to the boot bottom and then resole them. They look kinda goofy, but my knees are bent and feet flat on the ground

I am 5'6". A short ass but I love my bike and don't want to change it up to much, I am going to try and have the seat shaven a bit on the sides maybe it will allow me to get a little closer to the pavement. Thank you for all your help brothers.

Must be a figment of your imagination.     Here are the specs from Harley's own website spec pages:

I believe G.O.F. was referring to the fact that Harley can't even get their specs on the website correct. I've been known to be wrong though.

you could also add a narrow primary cover it gives you more room on the left side .come stock on the Harley Davidson ultra limited low it's available to put on all the other touring bikes
