Do the new 2015 CVo street Glides have the XM module already installed?

Hows the reception any loss of signal?

It's hard to get good reception when an antenna is placed in an area that is not even close to optimal. I pulled out both, the GPS and XM antenna's and put them on the vent area, they both fit right through the vent, have enough cable to go there, and do not interfere with closing the vent (at least not on mine), I thought it may, but mine doesn't close tight enough for the wires to interfere. I put them both on the right side, they will sit right on the vent body one in front of the other, and be hardly noticeable.

My XM reception is horrible. Even in wide open areas with clear skies it cuts in and out constantly !!!!

A lot of folks have relocated the XM antennae to get it out of the fairing, on the rushmore bikes they have positioned it inside the fairing air vent so it's less conspicuous than mounting it on the inner fairing.
Not the same setup as your '15 but on my 11.5 CUSE6 I moved the XM puck and mounted it on top of the dash pad and that did help the reception.

I am on my third bike (currently a CVORG), had a SERG and a SEEG and all three have been equipped with XM and they all had the antenna under the fairing and honestly NONE of them ever cut out unless I was under a overhang/tunnel etc. My RG will even play clearly in my garage beside the window. I keep reading about these problems others have and cannot figure why I have never had any problems. I have XM on my car/truck & bike and love it.

It could be, where you live. XM does not just send out signals thru the Sat, they also have repeaters set up, so maybe you live in a major city, or the metro area of the city? Anyway, the Sat signal is basically a LOS signal, but if you live in certain areas you will pick up the terrestrial signal, so maybe you are not receiving the Sat signal in some of these areas, but rather the Terr signal instead.

I have XM/Sirius on several vehicles also, and have absolutely no problem getting a good signal on any of them, except one, and that is my bike, because it just does not get the amount of signal required to hold a connection coupled along with an almost non existent buffer, just causes spotty reception. With the antenna pulled from inside the fairing and placed on the dash, I now get the constant signal that my other vehicles get.

I need to try a new location for the antenna as well. Does anyone have pics so I can get an idea of what putting it in the vent or on top would look like? I have XM in my car and it works like it should. Cutting out is extremely rare. On the bike.... it sucks!!!! I almost thought my screen froze as it seemed the XM Lost Signal was on the display more than the music.

On my 2010 limited, I mounted it inside the faring over the right speaker.  Used a small 1/2" 'L" bracket and used the top outter speaker screw to mount it.

Worked good.....

sorry no pic...sold the bike.
