Hello Fellow Members!!!!
Picked up my new 07 SERK beginning of September and loving it.  It's red in color waiting on Vance and Hines dresser duals and oval slipons.   My stealer also wants to put on a complete screaming eagle ac kit.  Is it true all that is needed is a KN filter?

Welcome to the site, glad you joined us. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] I believe you may be correct in all you will need is the filter I believe the SERK come w/the backplate already.

Thanks Dude they were trying to charge me for a whole kit plus installation.

Hey Woody, welcome aboard to another new SERK owner! Yes it's true. The '07 SERK comes with a SE A/C assembly. You can replace the filter only, with K&N HD-0800. If they're trying to sell you the entire SE A/C assembly, find another shop! You should read thru some of the threads addressing the '07's. You need to do something with your ECM mapping as well. Welcome to the site. I am a newbie also with my first post occurring today though I have been hanging out here and learning for a few weeks. According to my dealer, who went and looked at one when I asked about it, the 07 does come with the back plate. I know that some of the 03 cvo models did not but at sometime thereafter they appartently changed. Good luck with your mods.

Hey Hoist; I've been lurking and think I'm on the right track. Stealer is also doing a sert and dyno. I'm hoping the ac deal is a mistake by the guy doing the write up. The information on this site is great and should save me a few busks with the ac  deal. And thanks everyone for the warm welcome

Hey Woody, if they're doing all that stuff, then I'm sure it's just an error. If you're comfortable with them, just make sure you point it out. They probably won't have the K&N. You might want to pick it up before you go. They're readily available on websites referenced here. Good Luck with the mods Woody. Let's hear how it goes and see the Dyno sheet! And of course, lets see some Pictures! ;) Hoist! 8-)
