I thought those little buggers headed south for the winter.  Some stragglers?

Some Anna's Hummingbirds stay on Vancouver Island here all winter.......I have about 8-10 around my house. It does not snow much or often here.....and not often below freezing.....so, this cold, white x-mas got me making a heater instead of rotating two feeders. Just under 30" on the patio table!!
This one is the first prototype...needs a better seal at the bottom of the feeder and maybe some insulation in the jar.

We have 4-5 that stay year round and have a couple of feeders out for them, they are close to the house in a protected area.
