GTS update
« on: February 22, 2022, 09:30:36 AM »

Chilly for another few weeks here in NC, so bike is covered in garage,

Is new software update MY22-21-28-00 worth uncovering and installing? Read somewhere else VERY limited upgarades. mostly to bluetooth issues.

Anyone have the change sheet that advises of upgrades? Did we get back showing of distance to next turn? Doubt it, but had to ask, Lol

I just did the update......but really have no clue what it updated.

My GPS does give a distance to next turn once it's less than 2 miles it will show it and count it down so to speak.

Mine shows less than 2 miles also. why can't it show if more than 2 miles? If you are leading a large group and need to get right to exit, that is tricky. What is an absolute joke is that even when I pull up the turn list, the distance to EVERY OTHEr turn is listed except the next turn distance. It simply makes zero sense

Regarding distance to next turn there is a workaround.  If you have voice prompts enabled in the gps then there is a speaker icon at the bottom left of the screen.  Select that and it will announce the next turn with its distance.  Not at all as good as it should be but better than nothing.

One thing I do not understand about these software updates is why, oh why, after it completes all the personalized settings on the Boom!Box have gone back to factory default.  Things like audio routing, volume settings on all the apps, speed volume, etc., etc..  No other device I have does this but I guess it's too much to expect that the little b******* at H-D could figure this out.

I agree, and half the time I dont remember all my settings until Im out on the road and get the pleasure of trying to update the settings on the fly.  I work with software and new updates every day, I would be fired if I made it so people had to redo all their settings every month when we have a new update.
