Footpeg 'stoppers' thingy's
« on: May 04, 2022, 10:23:13 PM »

Years ago Harley made these little vertical winged 'things' that would keep you foot from sliding off round foot pegs. Never needed anything like that but I'm noticing more and more my foot is slipping of the round pegs on my FXR3. I need those little thing that help keep you foot on the pegs.
Anybody remember them and what they were called? Better yet, where I could buy some? Any help would be appreciated.

I know which ones you’re talking about but don’t know the name.  I bought these heel rests that were made for Softails and Dynas and made a toe-rest for my highway pegs (just to give me another foot position on long rides) bonus is it moves the peg out about an inch which makes them more comfortable. It’s just the arms and you can put whichever shifter peg in that matches your pegs. I don’t have the pn in front of me but can get it tomorrow.

Thanks for the reply, I have heel and foot pegs on my crash on my engine guards for laid back riding position. The thingy's I need are are for my straight up riding position round foot pegs that came with my FXR3.

I just adjusted the set screw on my highway peg mounts so that my pegs tilt ever so slightly upward. Now my boot no longer slides off due to the wind drag.

‘wind drag’ that’s my problem! Not sure which ‘wind’ or ‘drag’ or both is pushing my foot off the round pegs?
Thanks for the help. I’ll see what I can do regarding the peg angle. I leave in the morning, if the weather cooperates, for the MS, Natchez Trace 50 Rides and return.
Then Monday I leave for 3 more Rides and 4 days of Flower Sniffin.
I’ll see if the angling works.
