I have used this in the past as only part of my maintenance washes. Not as my only protection.

I saw a demo from the company owner this summer. Sprayed on his pipes by the heads then let it run awhile, then melted a plastic bag and a microfiber cloth on the pipe then scraped it right off with his fingernails. Of course while hot so he burnt his finger in the process but it did work. Don't know about the shine part though. Pretty good snake oil.

Can't say that I've ever had occasion to clean my exhaust pipes but the chrome heat shields do come clean and shiny (even when tar, heel marks etc. gets on them). Good stuff , that Purple Slice snake oil   :love_1:  !
