VE tables F/R differences
« on: August 30, 2012, 06:51:47 AM »

Why are the VE values different for the front cyl and rear cyl. Have noticed at smaller throttle and lower revs the differences are significant. I know there is a simple answer. Enlighten me.

Thanks

The intake system on a HD sucks to say the least. It is too short and allows cross talk from the cylinders to occur. As it does the VE goes all over the place so it is normal for a HD Big Twin to be like this.

Thanks Steve, I kind of knew you could probaly answer the question. Makes sense for runner length and crosstalk I thought it might be because the airflow has to do a u-turn to get into the front cyl.
