I never really liked those spacers either. 😝

I like them but riding hard in the twisties the mounting arm will scrape first,  without them the rear of the floorboards do, or the kickstand.

New tires, rotors, brake pads all the way around.   :orange:

Had some work done on the 16. Had the front forks serviced, steering neck bearings greased and adjusted and new wheel bearings installed. Night and day difference with those. I still really enjoy this bike. 😁. Stuart..

The 22 year old Road Glide (yes, CVOs existed at the beginning of the century) killed a high ratio of bugs per mile over an approximately 3 hour cruise (cue Gilligan's Island them music now).

The 23 year old FXR2 (yes, CVOs existed in the prior century [barely]) killed an equally high ratio of bugs per mile over not really any time at all (proper citation to The Beatles).

Time is on My Side (Rolling Stones) while riding and I'm having the Time of My Life (David Cook) though often it might seem I've Too Much Time on my Hands (Styx) but I'm having  Big Time (Peter Gabriel).  The bugs are a result of the Time of the Season (Zombies) and, though messy, are not a Bad Time (Grand Funk Railroad) so I'll take the Road King tomorrow and go Baby One More Time (Britney Spears).

LOL^^^^

Finished my 60K service last week although our weather is STILL not cooperating here in the great northwet.

I did however trailer down to the Avi Resort in Laughlin Nv. a couple of weeks ago. We rode around the area to check out the usual areas like Oatman, Kingman, Lk Havasu, Lk Meed, Needles and so on. We even took a day ride to the Palm Springs area. My 1st time there. On the way home we spent a couple nights in Pahrump Nv. which is a gateway to Death Valley Ca. and the state park there. That was my 1st time there and, as anyone who has been there knows, is absolutely gorgeous, especially the Artist's Pallette.
The temperatures were in the 80's and 90's the whole time and while we weren't complaining a bit, my bike sure was. My 128" build was tuned for our normal 50 plus degree weather at sea level so it was not a happy camper in the desert. When I returned home I got ahold of my tuner and he addressed the issue, so I should be good to go now.
Soo, back here to the unusually cold and wet weather for this time of year I sit.

C'mon sunshine!

60k service you are putting on some good miles. Curious which brand 128 kit are you running? I had a FM 128 in my ‘20 RGL but haven’t decided on what direction I want to go with the ‘22 CVO RG.
Also are you still running the lower fairings on yours? Any issues through the years? I have everything updated and my lowers should be in this week, very excited about getting them installed.
Thanks

I am running FM 128 kit along with Zippers 468 cam with S&S cam plate and oil pump. I'm also running Harleys 64mm throttle body and intake along with the CNC heads from a Stage IV 117 kit. Yes, I'm still running lowers and have added Boom II speakers and amp to them. Everything is working as flawlessly as possible.

Given the rare good weather here in Southern WV, Miss Susan and I took the opportunity to ride to a new restaurant over in Bastian Va. The place is called Downshift Diner and it’s decorated up Ike an old diner from the 50-60s. Food was actually really good. We then took a back way around back to Bluefield to extend the ride a bit. All in all a lovely dinner with my baby.

After 55,000 on my 2019 limited I noticed one shock seal starting to leak.

Put the shocks from the green bike on temporarily until they service the old ones.

Those shocks have been rebuilt 4 or 5 times over the years, but fit me like a good pair of shoes.

Custom built by Sandy (RIP) at Works in 2009 and best ride I’ve ever had on the baggers.
Shout out to Tim at Workz the last time he took care of me in February 2019,I’ll bring them up tomorrow.

Good people to deal with. 👍
