Looked at ported heads to get the compression up. I didn't know that it came with 255 cams already for low end torque. I asked some thing similar on another forum (I think both posters are also on this forum too, and this was helpful from Scott, HillsideCycleco:
S&S valvetrain products are some of the best in the industry, and their lifters are of a MUCH higher quality than that of OE.
Clutch?
VPC 92T clutch lock-up hat with a Barnett spring will do it.
"Max it out"?
A Wood 9B or 9F cam, S/E pistons, good heads, 58 mm HPI or S&S T/body with 5.3 gps injectors, and a D&D Fatcat with a big bore baffle.
You'll be hanging on.......tightly!!
Scott

And also from ProDrag:
first, junk the 255 cams, next have the heads done by a reputable porter.3rd,rase the compression to 10.0-1 and get S&S .570 cams (or if wanting a bit more, go to 10.5-1 and use .585 cams)

Talking to me wrenches, I would go to the 10.5-1 and .585s if I were to jump on the upgrades. I was really close to pulling the trigger thanks to these guy's help but I found out I had a second kid on the way! I was also considering the diamond cut heads and the JIMS parade fan.

My 2014 has heads shaved and port work, S&S lifters, 551 cams, adj. pushrods and roller rocker arms and V&H BigRadius 2into2 exhaust.
Tuned open loop makes 112 lpft at 2000 rpm, 120 lpft 3500 rpm and 110 lpft at 4500 rpm.

Had my engine upgraded this past Sept. with SE 10.5/1 pistons, adj. push rods, 58 MM T/body, SS 625 easy start cams and the heads reworked. It dynoed at 118 HP and 120 Tq. I am quite pleased with its performance.

You can use easy start cams with compression releases?

I have the following mods.  SE pistons 10.5:1, 0.030 gaskets to get comp to 10.8:1, SE263 Cams, SE Pushrods, SERT & V&H Bigshots. Nothing over the top as I need some reliability as I ride 15000kms or more a year.

Blue is the best data logged tune from when the motor was first built. 106hp & 109ft-lbs.

Red is the dyno tune. 110hp & 116ft-lbs. The peak numbers aren't that far apart but look at that torque curve from 3500rpm to 5000rpm.  That's what I love about dyno's, the fine tuning.

The bike rides fantastic, smooth and pulls hard all the way to redline!  :pepper:

With these mods it drop the Breakout into the 11s 1/4mile  ;D  well my best is 11.9 @ 109mph. But with some practice I hope to get it down to 11.5
