I've seen more feral pigs and chickens in recent times.... One night on the freeway I almost cleaned out a large pig.... standing on the shoulder like he belonged there.... I guess a car not far benid me must have drifted to the shoulder... next day there was meat all over the road.

and now cows >:(

Had a friend that had a mishap avoiding cattle on the roadway, major head injury, had to wear a football helmet for some time after his year in the hospital.     Most of them outweigh the bike.

I have a friend who was riding on the BRP when a Turkey flew across the road and he hit it with his helment. The impact knocked him out and he ran through a barb-wire fence ripping his bicep muscle out.  Lost so much blood that he actually died, but fortunately was in the Ambulance by then and they were able to revive him.

It's odd to see a normal sized forearm and from the elbow up is about the size of your wrist.  Thank goodness he's around to tell the story.

I once hit a cow with my 74 Ford T-bird -told my insurance a truck must have backed into it when it was parked ... nearly totaled ...

I had a sparrow hit me in the forehead above my right eye, made my eyebrow bleed but killed the bird - feathers were all up in my open face helmet - that bird could have really changed the way I see things if it had hit me in the eye ... Now I ride with good sunglasses & a windshield !

I hit a kangaroo on a Road King late one night out in the middle of no where. Took out all my lights amongst other damage. It was a slow trip to the next town. Kangaroos aren't something that most of you need to worry about I'm guessing.

I will never post again about "nearly" hitting anything. Since my post last week I took a wasp inside the helmet and it stung me on the temple and yesterday a small bird hit me on the leg. The wasp was wayyyyyyyyyyyy worse.

I instinctively ducked when going by some bee hives a half hour later. I ain't taking nothin "like a man". :P
