Title: Working on one problem and find another!
Post by: ltank on November 17, 2020, 12:46:43 AM
I have been working on transmission seals. Then a saw a puncture in my belt. Then I removed the swingarm and the left cleave block end is bad. I haven't had the swingarm off or replaced a belt on this bike before.  Heck it's the first time for me to change a belt or pull swingarm on any EVO that I have had for the past 30 years or so. I guess it's my turn!

Never fails for me!! Kick over a rock and there’s ALWAYS more than one snake under there!!!

I found puncture too.  And my belt is part of my “ gearing down” effort LONG AGO (fltrsei2 2001). Kind of an odd belt. Breaks on the road and I’m toast. Have a spare. Rarely carry it.

GOOD LUCK!!

I ordered a S&S 139 tooth 1.5" wide 14mm belt. 225 buck was a good price.
