Title: Slipping transmission or is it abs related
Post by: Johnnyjet on October 31, 2022, 07:35:25 PM
2017 CVO street glide
26000 miles
Upon moderate acceleration in 1 and second gear it feels like the trans is slipping and catching or there’s a broken tooth in those gears.  I’ve also hear a distinctive clunk like the abs while accelerating in 1st.  No idea what it could be.

sounds like compensator. low speed clunk seems to point at the compensator. must be a video on u tube somewhere that u can compare ur symptoms to.

Looked up the symptoms of a bad compensator.  That’s does not seem to be the issue.  I’ll find out next week I’m taking it to the dealer.
