I went away a few days and I'm still trying to catch up to unread threads. I went thru everything in the "Unread Posts". I'm now left with, get this, 21 New Member threads after only a few days. I'd like to welcome you all individually, but it's becoming impossible to keep up with. I also wouldn't want to upset B B with 21 additional posts! I am rebuilding a 12' x 36' patio canopy using 1" x 8 " T&G Pine boards. (750 lineal ft. Lotta nailin. ) I put 1"x8" and 1"x4" pine trim all around and then 6" galvanized drip edge. Double layer of 90lb felt and then rolled roofin. Like I need all that for the 8" of rain we get here a year.( you can take the boy outa Maine, but not Maine outa the boy) Anyway, I was tackin the felt down today when the heat got to me and I started in on my mission " TO OWN THE CVO WEBSITE " hahahahahahahahaha too funny the way it developed. Anyway, I'd absolutely love to have that bush to point at my next door neighbor. My daughter calls her " the evil little troll " and you know what ? It's a perfect description LOL

This was started for a reason. I've barely been able to keep up, now that the riding season being here, and going away for 9 days. There are now about 10 pages of New Member Threads I haven't responded to. Now I can sit here for a day and copy and paste a Welcome to each one of you (and get my post count up too! ::) ), but thought it would be more genuine, welcoming you all aboard together. So, welcome aboard all you new members that I didn't get to say hi to personally. You have stumbled on a real treasure here! The information you'll find is difficult to find anywhere, if at all. The people here are the best and will not hesitate to help out a fellow member. If you ever have an opportunity to get together with any other members, you'd be making a huge mistake in not doing so! So peruse the various Subjects and Threads, entertain yourselves with our warped senses of humor, spend buku bucks on your bikes, but most of all, just enjoy this great site!

Of course I do Chuck Henry. So was I with my comment. I could care less about post count, regardless if anyone else agrees with that or not. It seems to bother people if we post too much, but it doesn't bother me. They need to get over it. I enjoyed your posting spree! And whether it takes 2 months or 2 years to get xxx posts, it don't matter to me. I just don't shut up regardless, so that's where mine come from! WFO baby! ;) Hoist! 8)

I hate to admit it, but as much as I would really like to, I can't keep up with all the reading, so I have to just say to all that I have missed - A Great Big CVO Harley Welcome to you all. It is indeed a great place of friendship and sharing of information on our common interest, motorcycles, Harley Motorcycles and specifically the CVO line of Harley Motorcycles. Other stuff gets shared too, as you have already noticed, I am sure. It is a great family - once or twice removed. I hope to see some of you on the roads soon. :coolblue: :cherry:

Next best thing to a Chapter meeting for talking Harley. (maybe better)

Well another month or so has gone by and we've gained a bunch of new members. Speaking of which, high percentage of them post and everything. The site content is expanding beyond the core cadre of gathering goers. That' great and I welcome all of our new members and some not so new ones I may have missed .

Amen Rog. This one happened to be especially efficient though. Disregard is to a certain degree disrespect; even to strangers. More so with those we know of course. But even with riders we've never met. Having said that I never do more than scan this section for the occasional location that's close to home. Too many to keep track of otherwise. So the blanket welcome every few months is the best I can manage.

That's ok though. The blanket was always just a metaphor for the warm fuzzy feeling of mutual respect, consideration and conversation we share with each other. Really.

I have a stadium blanket from Sports Illustrated they sent as a gift for renewing my subscription. I'm willing to share it with newbies. However, I've never discounted the properties of thermal retention from old newspapers. Homeless people in cold climates might be on to something.

A metaphor? There never was a real blanket? The mutual respect, consideration when combined with conversation is good idea whose time has not passed, but sometimes it seems fuzzier than warm.
