Title: 2006 SE VRod
Post by: Wild Bill on December 30, 2008, 11:12:27 AM
All,

Just picked up a 2006 VRSCSE2 last night for my wife.  The motorcycle is in perfect condition with 6,000 miles.  I ride a Fat Boy so this was a huge change.  I am very impressed with the VRod after one ride but have a couple questions for you experts.

What's the normal hot idle speed?  This one idles at ~1500 rpm.

Anyone have experience with a Supertrapp V5 2-1 exhaust?  The bike is very quiet until about 6,000 rpm and makes me nervous.  I'm used to loud.

I will appreciate any advice, tips or tricks that I will not get from the owner's manual.  Thanks in advance for any help.

Rubber side down.

$ Numbers have not been that impressive on ebay. :nixweiss:  If you need the paper your likely to lose some $.  If not you may want to hold out till Spring.

The problem with that is, well us.  We always want bigger and better.  So new and shiny usually sells quicker.  I beleive its a buyers market my friends.  But good luck anyway.

Thanks for the idle speed information.  I gave $17,000 for the SE VRod.

Wild Bill,

Congrats on the new to you V-Rod.  What color?  It is an awesome bike and looks like you made a great deal.

No experience with the Supertrapp 2-1, but I installed the Rinehart 2 Into 1 and that along with a high flow intake and SERT, really allow the bike to open up.

Good luck,

Craig
