Finally pulled the trigger and ordered the fullsac DX headers and a TTS tuner for my 2012 cvo road glide....I already have the fullsac 2.25 SD cores installed in my mufflers can't wait to hear it with the headers...I'll post a video of before and after when I'm done.

Did the same, seems to have a deeper tone having the 2.25 as well. Getting a tune next Saturday.
-
Me too! Fullsac must be busy!
They sound awesome. My tune is April 4th
-
did you guys go with the 2.25 SD or the normal 2.25? how loud and deep does it sound? any videos? can't wait!
my buddy just put a 2 into 1 v&h exhaust on his yamaha raider!! it sounds mean as hell!! I hope with the DX and the 2.25 SD I can sound as good!!!
anyone? anyone? I guess I will find out this coming weekend :2vrolijk_21:

My appt is in a couple of weeks for the Fullsac install. Still thinking about 2", 2.5", or SD?? Can't wait to dump the "from the factory" sound.

so I installed the headers did the down load with the tts the map that fullsac gave me works great! bike runs like a top.....bike feels much better...nice response as for the sound I thought the 2.25 SD would be a lot louder then it is....sounds good at idle and when you whack it....at highway speeds you can barely hear it and the deceleration sound not a big fan....almost sounds like popping but it's not all in all performance is great...sound is good but could be better...I'm happy with it

They are definitely busy! I just ordered mine! DX, 2.25, sleeves , and TTS...can't wait! Hope it has a nice deep rumble.
-
ordered mine yesterday. got the DX with 1.75's and the screens for the packing. plan on doing it weekend after next. took a looong time to decide between this, fuel moto head pipe or v&h true duels. finally pulled the trigger based on price, reviews, value and gut.

How did it affect your mileage??
-
not sure yet...need to take it on a long trip but does seem to go down a little quicker but not much....for the way it rides now, I would take the 5 mpg loss don't think it's much more then that
-
Loss?
Were supposed to gain, unless you have a Throttle happy wrist :)
-
I think that's what happened to me. :) :nixweiss:
-
you always will loss MPG when changing out headers and mufflers - more air in (high flow air cleaner) - more air out (exhaust) - uses more gas!!
-
I've read on here with Steve's setup, not sure which set one, some have gained MPG's.

Not always!
I just got back from Laughlin with a riding partner.
We both have 2010 limiteds even the same color.
His is BONE STOCK about 12000 miles on it, mine has the stage II or III Fullsac cams, .30 head gasket, mufflers, aircleaner, 30t pulley and 76000 miles.
At each gas stop we took about the same, on the way back, strong head winds and I took less than he did, I could pull the grades much easier.
Overall I got a tad better !
Just our experience after 800 miles!

Did the install yesterday. Very easy! The sound and performance is outstanding. I had D&D 's on my last bike and while I thought they sounded good, the deep rumble of the DX Pipe w/2.25 baffles sounds so much better! Not raspy at all. Just a good solid rumble that easily lays claim to the street. The throatiness and roar the bike now has when coming up to speed easily grabs everyone’s attention. Did I mention the power? Very happy! Definite improvement!
Thanks Steve! Fullsac rocks! :2vrolijk_21:
Semper Paratus!

I have not noticed that. Seems my mpg stays about the same doing just exhaust, high flow air cleaner and tune.
Heck my mpg did not go down much adding cams, high comp pistons head work, bigger throttle body, bigger injectors. On steady interstate looks like I did not loose but 1 mpg. Now when I am using the new added power, it does go down more, but that is more a function of my wrist.

My stage one with the DX pipe is on order as well!! For those of you that have installed this how hard was it to drill through the stock slip on and get it lined up to new baffle? How did you score the chrome to get the drill started? Did you use a regular punch?
Ordered the 2.0 baffles hope it not too quiet.

i did this about 7 minutes ago. i measured three times each and put a small dot with black sharpee where i wanted to drill. i then took my smallest wood punch and was very careful and used it a few times. chrome only dents a little. then used a 1/8 pilot hole - then straight to the 1/4". worked great and very easy to drill. wood drill only - didn't need a special bit. hope this helps.

i used a die grinder, after measuring and marking i just touched with the die grinder(same one i used to grind the welds) & then drilled it . its a peice cake to do the install
