Haven't ridden it yet but the clutch pull seems pretty heavy?
« on: February 17, 2015, 08:09:05 AM »

Anyone else find the clutch pull on the 11' bike quite a handfull? This one seems bone stock with 22,000 miles on it, so I'm doubting it has had a clutch upgrade.

I had an 09 Ultra with SE spring, that was bad.  My 13 RGU with stock non-hyd spring was nice.  My 12 CVO hyd seemed like it was stiff, but I don't notice it now.

Is it full of air? Have lots of little bubbles in fluid? I have had several HD's with hydraulic clutches and they were all the same to me. Do need to change the fluid occassionally as recommended but otherwise great system.

I had a 2011 Limited for about 10,000 miles before I bought my 2011 CVO. Yes indeed the CVO has a heavier clutch pull. I suspect it's due to the heavy clutch spring used on the 110s.

Search this site and you'll find plenty of information on the high effort as well as possible "fixes".  There are various products that allow you to reduce the static spring pressure and still not have clutch slip, and there is another product called the ClutchWIZ that basically changes the mechanical leverage of the release plate and spring fingers to reduce effort.
