2006 Ultra classic cvo hyd clutch problem
« on: August 29, 2015, 08:01:59 PM »

If the bike sits for any length of time or the bike is hot or I am speed shifting I have to pump the clutch lever all most like a brake pedal to get the trans to shift up or down. It is hard to find neutral also, has anyone had this problem if so what is the fix ? Yes it has been bleed with no air in lines.

If there isn't a puddle of brake fluid on the floor under the clutch cylinder, then the slave cylinder has to be leaking fluid out into the transmission. That's the only place, other than a bad fluid line, that the fluid could be going. I'd suspect the slave cylinder first, a rebuild kitshould solve the problem unless casting is cracked.
That's something you can do yourself while the cover is off the bike, just restrict the pistons movement with a clamp so it cannot fly out of the bore, pump up the lever and hold it with a nylon tie. If its leaks you'll soon know. twinotter

Did you bleed it or flush it? The system on my 05 did the same and was like
new after a very good flushing.
