    • CVO1: 2016 Road Glide Ultra
Backrest
« on: March 02, 2024, 07:49:55 PM »

Have a 2016 FLTRUSE CVO and thinking of changing the backrest from the "stock" to the adjustable model. One reason is the easier method of installing and removing the backrest. Instead of squeezing the two legs together and many times looking for the spring, just slide the backrest in and then push the lever to remove it. Also like the adjustable feature. Had one on a Street Glide and liked it, especially that could fold it down when getting on and off. Any hints on removing the "stock" and installing this as far as time and difficulty? Will not be riding until about June/July due to medical issues so have time. :confused5: :nixweiss:

I have a H-D backrest and the adjustable hardware to go with it. I bought new and ran it for about 2k miles. I then put on an "Ultimate seat" that does not work with HD stuff. The adjustability make it the best in my opinion.... but would not work with my after market seat.
