I have enjoyed being a part of the CVO world and this site for a long, long time. I've owned 3 CVO's and numerous other Harley's and custom American V-Twins over the last 30 years. This lifestyle has partially become who I am and how I am perceived and I absolutely love the 2 wheel world, along with Rock n Roll and cool cars of coarse.
Recently I made a "lifestyle" change that has my family and friends wondering if my "cheese has done slipped off of my cracker"....When I first saw photos of the new Goldwing without a tour pack a few years ago I thought that it looked really cool, futuristic and powerful, BUT could no way see myself making this kind of a lifestyle change....until now!
After a LOT of thought, some think not so sane, I recently sold my almost 69,000 mile pride and joy 2018 CVO Road Glide with thou$and$ in upgrades, I purchased a 2021 Honda Goldwing DCT non Touring in Pearl Gray and Black last week in Az. and road it back home here just north of Seattle. Fantastic but very different machine and the route I took to get home was amazing. All in all a very positive and weird but satisfying experience. I'm good with my decision and I'm definitely not saying that I will never own another Harley or American V-Twin, but WOW what a change!

I want to thank all of those here on this site, starting with Neal for bringing this site to life and to all of the members for the plethora of information and all of the family like sharing and trust that this site has offered to me over the years.

Not that mine nor anyone else's opinion matters I've thought those were a very sharp looking bike.  Couple that with the effectively integrated and modernity of its various systems and its power and handling and its a winner.  Were I to have any inclination at all toward a new bike it would not be a Harley and strongly considered would be the new Wing.  Have fun .

Congrats man. Not a bad looking ride. I'm sure it'll give you miles of smiles as have your other bikes. Something about jumping on a new ride and not having to spend $$$$ on it to make it "feel/ride" right is very satisfying.

A cousin has an F6B and just loves it and it's been trouble free for almost 40k miles now.

I more than understand your new ride. I have had more Harleys than I can count and still own 4 (3CVOs and a 1987 FXRC). Love them all but in 2015 I bought a Honda F6B and love that too. Congratulations on your new bike. May it provide many Mike’s of joy. My F6B provides many miles of smiles.

You will love that bike.  Had you been able to make it to the Bend ride, I would have let you ride mine.  Yes, it is different from the Harley (I still love mine) but it is an excellent machine.  The smoothness, speed and comfort is incredible.

If I was able to keep my Harley I certainly would have but I was able to sell it and pay for the new bike in full including the trip to pick it up and state fees, so it all worked out well financially.

It’s not easy to find jackets, pants, vests, and chaps that say Honda. The best you can do is a T-shirt and ball cap. Maybe a hoodie. It’s almost as if Honda spends its energies on motorcycle design, engineering and build quality rather than on a clothing line.

But I could be wrong.

No you haven't lost your mind, you're just getting older and wiser or maybe bored with the brand. I've done it myself many times and came back. A bike is a bike and I'd still talk to anyone no matter what brand they're on. Life is short so enjoy the ride no matter what it is. I still love mine, but have lately been seriously contemplating trading mine for a new Pursuit ... just not so sure I want to get into debt again since mine is paid for.

To clarify my comment I was just being sarcastic.  I do have friends with Honda's, Ducati's and others.  And I do actually ride with them, at least until some of them take off and leave me in the dust.

Your sarcasm is more than welcome Finster.
I still love the brand and the lifestyle, this decision had nothing to do with a lifestyle change. I can only afford 1 really good bike at a time since my recent retirement, so for now, no Harley in the stable but if I find a deal on an older Evo or something that trips my trigger AND is affordable, it would be hard to say no.

Kelly, glad you went with your heart.  The bike has nice lines. I like it.  No need to leave the site though.  Please give us a one or two month ride review and how you like it.  I'm sure that a lot of people would be interested.

Thanks, So far other than the fact that it's winter and actually snowing here right now I love this thing. It's all that I expected and more. The more i get used to the DCT (dual clutch 7 spd. automatic trans) the more I like it. I did have to change/upgrade the bars and seat w/riders backrest and add highway pegs to make the bike fit and handle better. I kinda miss the grunt and soul of the V-Twin but the 6 cyl. on these have plenty of tq. and hp.. The hill hold is kinda nice as well.

My friends will probably never stop teasing me with the "is that thing running yet?" or "since you have no use for those nice Harley duds what are you going to do with them?" hint, hint.

My amazing ride back from Goodyear Az. in October was almost 1500 miles of fantastic weather and beautiful back roads. I've put about another 1500 miles on it around here. I completed the first service and with the mods that I've done so far I really like this thing.

Your new ride does look good, and you probably can find Honda patches to cover up HD logo's on the leathers but the shirts will need to be traded or used for painting your house.

Oh no Joel, I'm very proud of all of them and earned (bought) most of them in person and still where em all the time. I'm wearing an Oyster Run shirt today. lol

As far meeting up in the spring, I get over to Wenatchee a lot. I have 3 kids, a son in law and a grandson there. So yeah, once the pass finally dries up I'm in for sure.
