« on: March 04, 2023, 08:28:50 AM »

Good morning has anyone switched to the new sound stream si radio on a 2015 up cvo with the boom 2 in the fairing and bags?   Was it worth it ? Also has some one swapped out the oem
Speakers and installed the infinity kappa perfect  speakers with stock amps.  What’s your opinions if you have

I have the new radio and stock Boom2 speakers and amps on my 2018 CVO Roadglide. Definitely worth it. If you are thinking speakers and amps also, then you need to do both--not just speakers. But for now I am happy with the upgraded radio. Got the whole package from Volunteer Audio. Make sure to call to to tell them exactly what bike and system is in it. https://volunteeraudio.com/product/soundstream-hdhu-14si-plug-play-upgrade-headunit-for-2014-2022-harley-davidson-touring-motorcycles-2

I ordered the radio from them Also.  I got 4 brand new boom 2 speakers from previous owner so I’ll see how they hold up with the new radio

There is an EQ setting in the new radio that you need to change. It will make the speakers less likely to blow out--or so I heard. I forget exactly what it is. Give Jay at Volunteer a call and ask him.

I believe it was set the crossover to 80hz and leave the eq flat unless it’s has changed
