Hello everyone......as some of you may know, HTT (Harley Tech Talk) MSN has been shut down and recently the people in charge over there have opened a NEW HTT website, well I have been reviewing some of my many saved great topical discussions as "links" that I have collected thus I found this discussion of which I thought could be a relevant discussion over here for us as FXR Owners.  Basically the topic has to do with "Throttle Response".

For background purposes, "AlphaSamuel" was an amazing contributer to the website at HTT one of the bikes he owned that his wife (Ruth) rode was an FXR, if he were still alive today I would beg him to come over here and share his wealth of knowledge with us, but unfortunately he lost his life a couple of years ago, anyway here is a "THREAD" he started back in 2001 which discusses EVO THROTTLE RESPONSE, and his suggestion to increase such, I am curious if any of you have ever thought about doing this or have done it.....just trying to offer a "tech tip" that we might all benefit from....at least for those of us still running the OEM CV carb on our FXR's.

Well I guess that's an issue for them stock CV carbs. Never noticed as I never used em. Always dropped a Super E on every Evo I've ever owned! Nothin beats a properly setup Super E on an Evo. One of them, with M Pipes and a decent ignition, will wake up any Evo regardless of cam. Of course everything after that helps even more!!!
