SHOW ME YOUR DEUCE
« on: January 15, 2004, 09:47:51 PM »

Heck, The Deuce owners don't have the questions & or problems the other CVO owners have so let's see some pics. They think we don't care about this forum. Heck when you have the best bike with the least trouble what can we talk about.
SHOW ME YOUR DEUCE. Harley's ONLY!!! I hope you don't have any other Deuces you would want to show me!!!????????!!!!!!!!

GVC

PS: Better pics to come. Just got it today.

Well, I am new to this site.  Glad to see that there is a site for CVO bikes.  I have been trying to find out answers on regular Harley Forums, and while very helpful, you are still not dealing with the same set ups.

Here is a picture of my 2003 SE Deuce.  I bought it brand new back in late December.  I found the way to make time go backwards...  Purchase a new bike in late December in Pittsburgh, PA.  Winter seems to have lasted forever.  I only have 300 miles so far and i am dying to get out and ride this thing!

This is my son and my grandson on a 2 day old deuce. We met a great guy by the name of Brian who let these 2 hoodlums pose on his new SED. I told him about the site here and I hope he comes in for a visit! You guys will like him.

Pulled her out of the garage. Close up of Windvest Windshield. Hey, if you look in the right mirror, you can get a partial glimpse of me.

Another. Sundowner Seat with backrest and bag thingy. You can see Christina's "Harley" in the background.

Another. I'm hoping the wider seating area will add the comfort I'm lookin for for those longer rides (more than one hour!).

And the last. This is the view that suggests that I might like a riders backrest. However, the luggage rack would probably have to go. The stock badlander seat was lower by an inch or so and the back of the seat had a much lower slope. When I rode, my butt would ride partially up the back of the seat and became bothersome after an hour in the saddle. The Sundowner has a definite stop on the rear of the seat as it rises significantly. Only problem--it places me at least an inch or more closer to the tank. Don't know if this will be a problem. Haven't hit the road yet this spring--still waiting for a good rain to clean up the roads a bit.

I like the Luggage Rack myself...the Seat looks great...the windshield, well, ummmm, let's just say that it won't be on my Deuce. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

We're all so diplomatic aren't we!!  [smiley=bigok.gif] I'll tell ya, I almost bought a Victory, and would have if I hadn't found a MSRP HD dealer. I kinda like the Vegas/Kingpin look with bags and shield. Kind of a mid point between bagger and pure cruiser. When this shield gets all scratched up, I'll probably put on a clear one to see how that looks (assuming it does what I hope it will do--cut down at least 50% of direct wind on chest at speed). But, I wouldn't be at all surprised if I have Deuce bags on the bike before long. I think I'm lookin to make the bike like the Victory. We'll see.

You know, it should really be called a rain shield for me...

the wind is not the problem, it is those pesky little needles formed by drops of water traveling at 60mph.
