AMSOIL MCV in engine and primary

Bel-Ray 85W140 in transmission.  No clunk, very smooth shifting, neutral is very easy to find, and it offers the red contrast Don spoke to.  Down side is it smells awful..............and I don't mean your run of the mill funkiness................this stuff is nauseating.  Smell aside, in my my mind, there is no finer transmission oil.

That's funny Henry. I've never used the stuff but have others say exactly the same thing.  For that kind of regular report it must be some nasty stuff!

It's THAT stinky, Don.  Seems I can't learn either.  Every time I do a 5K, I just gotta stick my nose in the bottle.  GAG!  BUT, mag plug is ALWAYS clean, the lube is just as red on the way out as it was when it went in 5K miles earlier.........and it works for me.  I've seen it as high as $9.25 per liter at some indy shops, and buy it at $5.25 per liter by the case.  Needless to say, I'm still working on my first case bought 3 years ago when I had the Ultra.

Ever get a wiff out the tranny vent at startup?  That'd get the attention of the BSR parked next to you!  Can see it now.  She smells it.  Looks over at you.  Leans forward and says "honey, did HE do that?"  :huepfenlol2:

It does stink at startup, but doesn't linger like a tacos and beer fart.  Renea just assumes it's me.  Business as usual.  You'd think, with this crowd, there'd be some ball breakin'.   :huepfenlol2:

I use Redline MTL in the primary and Redline Heavy Duty Shockproof in the transmission - and Mobil 1 V twin in the motor...

Me too, the Shockproof really made my trans shift smooth!

I went with the HD Shock Proof for the Trans and Red Line has a V Twin Primary case oil that is similar to their MTL...

Found the best price I could at Summit Racing...great company that I buy tons of stuff for my F-150 from.

Man, took a quick ride post change today...it was noticeable.  The bike felt smoother and it was definitely shifting better then before.

I think you neighbor really hates his "good friend" or likes to $crew his friends.  Price for AmsOil per qt. off of their website:  $9.75  http://www.amsoil.com/catalog.aspx?subcategory=42 .  I can't remember who, but someone sells AmsOil here on the forum and will, or at least did, give a better price then that.
