72 HOURS--"Shelf Life" of 2009 SE Road Glide
« on: November 02, 2008, 01:00:23 AM »

Well, my local dealer has received two yellow/silver '09 SE Road Glides in the past two weeks.  The first one lasted about 2 1/2 days, and the second came in on Wednesday this week and was sold yesterday.  They sold at MSRP plus standard set-up and delivery.

Wow, sounds like they are more reasonable than their sister dealership Thunder Creek in Chatanooga.

Roswell, GA--Killer Creek HD is the dealership.

So they went for well over MSRP then.  Killer Creek is bad about that.  They are always 2 or 3k over MSRP for bikes on the showroom floor.

In So. Cal., less than zero.  SERG's don't even make it to the floor....

Mike, I think you misunderstood.  The bikes went at msrp at KC is the way I read this.  I saw the first one.  A guy in Sandy Springs traded his 08 SERK (duracell color) that only had 741 miles on it for the Yellow SERG.
IF you are locat KC will sell at msrp but you have to "insist" Ha.

It is hard to get thunder Creek to sell a regular bike at MSRP, have tried three times.  CVO's are always over MSRP there.

Yellow on the floor at Century H. D., Medina, Ohio for a week. Imagine they'd sell it for MSRP.

Several months ago there was a change in ownership.  The original owner of KCHD no longer owns Thunder Creek or the HD store in Dalton.  He now owns Killer Creek and the HD store in Tifton, GA previously knows as Little River HD.

I bought the yellow SERG from Killer Creek on Saturday. I'd been thinking about the Street Glide...but as soon as I saw the yellow bike on the floor, I did not give the Stgreet Glide another thought.  Buying at msrp was nice considering most dealerships mark up the SE bikes.

Amitchum, welcome to the site and congrats on the new SERG.  I am in Roswell...let me know if I can help or if you want to ride sometime.  We have some good CVO people in the area.

Thanks, flyingwillie. This is the first touring model for me.  Prior rides are '01 FXDL and '02 FLSTF.  Looking forward to putting some miles on the bike in the next couple of weeks.
