My new '09 RG was delivered to the dealer on 1/7/09 and being modified with my "upgrades.
I changed out my stock seat on my '09 RG to the SERG seat, I guess I better take a good look at it when the dealer is done with my winter modifications.  I assume the space (if any) would be the same as the SERG frame and tank are the same as my stock RG?

Thanks for the heads up.

My dealer said they talked to Mo Co today they are unaware of this problem. My dealer ask me to get a part number
for the seat. Or ask people on here how they went about getting a replacement seat.

Thank`s for your help.  JP

Thank`s Carlos... This is what makes this board so great, people on here getting more done than the dealer.

ok, here's the scoop, I spoke with the Service Manager and when she called 'Tech Service' (apparently there's some secret # they call) the 'Tech Service' person was completely aware of the problem present on the early run SERGs and that the warranty most certainly covers a new seat...so, I would have to insist...good luck.

If anyone wants to use my service managers name...its Peggy, at Harley Davidson of Washington at 301-248-1200.

Can someone post a pic of the replacement seat mounted on their bike? I have seen the early ones that created the "big ugly gap", but since others have reported of a gap that's "not that big", I'd like to see how far forward the nose of the new seat actually sits.

Thanks
