This was probably brought up last summer after the SERG release, but are '08 touring seats and '09 touring seats interchangeable?

I'm thinking of trading my '08 SERK Annie on an '09 SERG.  I have a couple seats for the '08 SERK and they aren't worth much other than to me..... IF THEY WILL FIT.

While they will fit the frame on the '09 is different. While at the Mustang display at Americade this year, the Mustang staff pointed that out to me and did everything they could to talk me out of buying a seat from them. Mostly due to the gaps .... but they aren't nearly as noticeable as they made them sound. FWIW

Just pointing out these bikes have different frames and the seats will fit differently.

I know the frames are different, but if the top profile is the same, the seat may still fit the same between the two years.

From what I've seen, the stock SERG seat has a bit more padding in the rear for the BSR than what the SERK had. 

I'm still going to wait until after the July 25th showing to do the trade, just in case the rumors are wrong, or I just can't live without the SESG.  But after you add a tour pak to the back of a SESG, why not just get the SEUC in the first place.  My opinion only on that thought.

Harley thinks they are close enough to work.  That's not the same as actually being a really good fit either way.  Harley also think their.... well, never mind.  That'd be a long list of corners cut and things that sorta-kinda-work-with-help.  

Only mention this because have seen a couple of 09 SERGs with prior model seats on them.  Wasn't at all impressed with the fit and/or alignment.  It was close.  But to my eye close just wasn't close enough.  

Real sucky part was one of the bike owners really hadn't noticed at all where it didn't fit until I was stupid enough to ask him how long it took him to get used to the look of the areas that it didn't fit.  Then he was all p.o.'d at the MoCo.

Their answer:
Mustang does not offer any seats or accessories to fit any of the 2009 SE
models, sorry.

  They told me they wouldn't fit too, but I'm riding mine with them on there and they look like they were made for it.

I got my 09 about 6 weeks ago.  The seat didn't fit right so I had the dealer send it back for a new on,  At the same time I ordered a mustang solo.  It was delivered and fit perfectly.  Have about 1500 miles on it and no problems. If you need the part number let me know.
