6-speed for Deuce?
« on: August 27, 2009, 09:02:35 AM »

Has anyone installed a 6-speed tranny in their deuce?  I am finding myself looking for sixth all too often!

What is the good and bad about it?  I think I had heard it may affect overall power/torque.  Would a cam change from the SE203 be required?

Every time I get on my '02 FXSTDI I think the same thing! Always wanting 6th gear and constantly trying to up shift. Funny thing is when I'm on the SEUC², I rarely use/need/want it.

Same here...although with my recent tune on the 08 Ultra, I find the power is low enough that I can use sixth more often.

The Deuce, mostly ridden solo, is lighter and would IMO handle a sixth easily.
