Seats & riding comfort
« on: December 17, 2005, 04:02:43 PM »

[smiley=nixweiss.gif] Currently on stock seat of 03 Screamin Eagle Deuce.  The one with a chrome trim strip down the middle.  Want to switch out to a comfortable seat.  Selection seems pretty limited for Deuces.  Any recommendations on a comfortable seat?  I'm looking at Mustang, Corbin and maybe Saddleman for both driver and passanger.

Thanks in advance.

I went the other way...I took off the extremely comfortable stock seat and put on one of HDs solo saddle offerings...on this bike, I sacrifice comfort for appearance.

[smiley=banana.gif]  I went with a 2 piece seat from Mustang and using standard Harley tall back rest for the passenger.  For a driver backrest, I purchased the large round storage bag & backrest from Bikers Friend @ $220.  The Mustang seat is a little more comfortable for the driver, and a lot more comfortable for my passanger.  Total price for Mustang seats @ $ 430.   We can now ride several hours.  Still not as comfortable as a bagger with arm rests and trunk.  May have to make the switch in a few years.

Still have my stock saddle on the SED.  I've had no comfort issues and have done up to 650 miles in a day.  On my Dyna Lowrider I had the LePera Gel seat, now that was comfortable.  Don't remember which model it was 'cause it came with the bike.
