Long story short, my dad has the 07 and I have the 09, while in Daytona this year, one of the bike shops said that for whatever reason, the 07 produce greater power(hp/tq) that the later years. Just got mine back from getting tuned and 95.2hp/106ft-lbs. Pops has 105/115 respectively, both tuned by same guy. Anybode else seen or heard of this?

What have you guys done to your bikes?

I assume you have both changed your exhaust and that makes a big difference. While building my bike we tried a different set of exhaust to see if my slip ons were holding me back and gained 14 HP with the other exhaust.

both running 2-1. He got thunderheader, I got vance/hines. I heard that the cam is different between the years, any truth to that?
