Replacement Speakers
« on: July 07, 2004, 02:45:29 PM »

I've got a 2002 Roadglide, Stage II, 95" Big Bore. Chromed up and Accessorized.
Now Its Time to take a look, or should I say a listen, at the Radio.
What speakers should I use as factory replacements?

I have the 2001 serg model and it is fully accessorized. I use the 5.25" JL Audio coxial two way speakers for the front replacements. They work great but when installing them you must use a washer at each mounting point to keep rubber away from the fairing housing.

In the rear I added a pair of 6 inch speakers in the aftermarket boxes from Dragon Fly concepts. The are lower cost than the HD units and they do not have the cuts for rear volume controls.

The head unit from HD was replaced with the Pioneer DVD/GPS/MP3/Rear view camera unit with 200 watts and an electronic fader.
