Primary Scrapping Sound
« on: July 09, 2012, 06:27:21 PM »

I have a 2012 CVO Street Glide with 2000 miles. When I really get on it I seem to hear an intermitted scrapping sound coming from the primary. It only does it under heavy acceleration. Otherwise, no primary trouble at all. Any ideas?

Check out how tight the primary chain is. It's been known to get too tight with the stock "self adjusting" ratcheting tensioner.
