i have the Hayden goin in my 04 tomorrow.  My Hd auto tensioner had my chain zipped up way too tight.. Even causing a bad vibration at app 1200 rpm.. I hope i didnt ride too long like that and ruined the Baker chain.  Ill let you know how it turns out tomorrow when i get it back.   I hope it solves my problem,, :confused5:

Finally had time to put the Hayden in last night and went out for a ride. Noise from the primary seems better---well..that's one less noise that this thing makes!!!!

Hey Mike.  Got the new tensioner in and after 5 shims, I had to order a new chain from Baker.  The one i had way too much play.  Streatched out.  I'll have it here Monday.  Should be ok then.     I hope.   :nixweiss:

Hi all,
Does anyone know the difference between the original HD primary chain tensioner 39929-06 the 39929-06a and the latest version 39929-06b.

I don't remember what they changed when it went to the "A" suffix, but when they changed to the "B" suffix for 2010 they changed the teeth on the sliding part.  Maybe that's why we don't hear as many complaints in the past couple years with failure to adjust or overtightening.

Thanks, that what I was hoping, I did try the sohobikes unit last year, it tightened my chain so much I had to replace it, thought I would give
the new version from HD a try.

So, whats the verdict naitram ?

Based on the photos , everything appears to be OK .
Would that be a tick for the HB125 ?
